Inspectus is an independent firm of Energy Assessors based in Worthing, West Sussex.
Now in our fifth year supplying EPCs to the market, we have gained a reputation for speed, accuracy and reliability and are the energy assessors of choice for many property professionals in Worthing.
We work with several major independent estate agents and solicitors providing EPCs for domestic, commercial and social premises in both the sales and lettings arena.
Saving energy means saving money.
The information contained within the Energy Performance Certificate enables buyers and sellers to get A-G ratings on their homes similar to fridge ratings as well as a list of practical measures to cut their fuel bills and carbon emissions at the same time. The EPC is mandatory for sellers and landlords and is valid for 10 years.
The Energy Act 2011 has received Royal Assent and has become law, setting out the legal framework for the Green Deal, the government's flagship energy policy.
Under the Green Deal, the up front cost of energy efficiency home improvement measures (such as loft, cavity and external wall insulation, draught proofing and energy efficiency glazing and boilers) will be removed.
It is planned that the energy saving work will be repaid over time through a charge on the home’s energy bill. The repayments must obey a “golden rule” whereby the charge is no more than the expected savings, meaning householders should save from day one.
In addition, from April 2018 it will be unlawful to rent out a house or business premise which has less than an “E” energy efficiency rating
